About
For this project, Catherine Baril approaches her work as a naturalist who tries to keep the traces of nature. She asks about the aesthetic vision that emerges from the combination of various techniques in the realization of still lifes with watercolor, while integrating other artistic processes. Three distinct states of matter will set up the realization of this immense fresco: the first will be raw matter; the second will involve manual interaction; and the third will tengue between the real and the dummy.
