By playing on the codes of beauty and the expression of vulnerability, Kristel Tremblay works on representations of human experience both incarnate and liberated from the body, notably through hybridization with prosthetic objects in a queer and feminist approach to the relationship to the world. His practice is intended to be an agent of a forward-looking narrative of a new humanity, an interface between missing bodies and mutant bodies. Kristel explored aesthetic and technical resistance, opening a field of research and experimentation for a techno-humanist dialogue. The iconography used in his work (arms, hands, sexual objects, skin and bones) refers to the concepts of transhumanism, worrying strangeness, fetishism and caress. This sculptural proposal offers a potential for integration into the (in)disciplinary field of performance, which Kristel seeks to invest with the sensitive, body and sensual dimension of the sculptural body.
