About
During his residency at La Charpente des Fauves, Nana Quinn will work on the performance of his next book, to be published in the spring of 2026 at Éditions du Noroît. For the past four years, Nana has had no smartphone or wifi at iel. When the night falls and silence finally wins the streets, I find myself alone in a space out of time, without sun and without constraints. In this state of retreat from the world, it began to observe my life as if it were a foreign thing or a dream, addressing itself. The poems of the book, written in the second person of the singular, list a daily newspaper of surrealism in which the same questions persist in watermark: what links us to the world of the living? Before "the banality of existence, this wax doll melting on the calorifer", why choose to stay alive?
