About
His artistic project is to explore and collect ornaments, motifs and decorative elements in Québec City's architecture and visual heritage. These forms, whether he chooses to reinterpret or not, are then assembled to create a chimeric sculpture. This work, built by careful openwork cutting, composes a hybrid visual language, between memory and transformation. Light plays an essential role in this: by crossing the voids, it generates moving shadows that prolong and transform the work in space, creating a dialogue between materiality and illusion.
