About
Triture an image is a residency-performance that presents two filmmakers in the process of creating an experimental film on film. The concept of the film is to create moving images from an image frozen using a variety of cinematic processes. This frozen image will be taken in the fall of 2025 in the city of Quebec by trying to capture different strata of the urban reality of the Saint-Roch district from the Haute-Ville. This project highlights the creative process and raises questions related to the nature of the art work, the artistic work and the documentation of this work. It demystifies the creation of film on film, including the use of optical puller, animation in engraving and drawing on film.
