About
Two bimbos take the aperitif. Swelling lips, carved silhouettes, dizzying heels: everything looks perfectly in its place. Until they fall on a philosophical note that upsets them. Certainties break up and bodies begin to dislodge. As the pieces fall, under the latex and false eyelashes, something else seeks to be born. With BIMBO, Geneviève Labelle and Mélodie Noël Rousseau transform hyperfemininity into a space of friction and resistance. Queer poetry, absurd humour, feminist allegory, and gore s'y rub and contaminate. Through this grotesque and sensual metamorphosis, the codes of beauty and desire crack. Are we anything other than the stories we tell each other?
