Mr Sunshine's Incredible School is an original satirical musical. Anchored in an absurd but familiar future, the play pushes to the extreme the traverses of our time: cult of fame, wild capitalism, conspiracy theories, patriarchy and oppressive social norms. The intrigue follows Bébine, a Quebec popstar and sex symbol forced to disappear to preserve her image and that of Quebec. Thanks to Mr Sunshine, an influential philanthropist, and the Prime Minister, a school was set up to train his successor. Dramas, competitions, broken dreams for young people looking for themselves in a crazy world. It's all messed up. Bébine's got a lot of helmets, when a journalist convinces her to take revenge. At school, a revolt is rumbling. Everywhere, tension is palpable, when a mysterious fire ravages the school... Who is really responsible? Between manipulation, revenge and knives that fly far too low, the play mixes grinning humour, social criticism and musical spectacle, culminating in a confrontation where truth arises, burning, like the ruins of collapsed promises.
