About

Lux Botanica is an immersive installation project led by multidisciplinary artist Émile Cyr-Perreault, who explores the sensitive relationships between light, nature and human presence. Designed as part of its first creative residency, this research is interested in how technology can interact with the living to create responsive and contemplative environments. At the crossroads of digital art and scenography, Lux Botanica evokes a space where the light material breathes, unfolds and transforms itself in contact with eyes and movements. Through this first phase of research, he seeks to weave a link between organicism and technology, between the poetry of the plant and the rigour of the code, to bring out an experience where light becomes alive and technology, almost natural. This residence was built thanks to the support for the First Ovation measure under the Cultural Development Agreement between the Government of Quebec and the City of Quebec.
