Josiane Bernier In parallel with her university studies in theatre and philosophy, Josiane completed the vocational training of L'École de danse de Québec, which she completed in 2010. Since then, she has led a successful career as a performer with several choreographers and multidisciplinary companies, mostly from Quebec City. In the past year, she worked mainly with Jacynthe Carrier, Geneviève Duong and Louis-Robert Bouchard, Alan Lake Factorie, Le Fils d'Adrien danse, Le Bureau de l'APA and Théâtre Rude Ingénierie. Also interested in choreographic creation, in 2018, she presented her first personal play The girl next door, broadcast by La Rotonde in Quebec City. In 2021 and 2022, she presented two co-creations alongside Nicolas Cantin in Montreal (La Chapelle – Scènes contemporains) and Philippe Lessard Drolet in Quebec City (Mois Multi). In 2014 and 2017, she co-directed her first two works on screen. In addition, she is frequently invited to take part in various artistic projects as a choreographer, choreographer and/or playwright and mentor. By studying the close relationship between physical and emotional paths, she is looking for the body fully incarnate, the state of true presence, the richness of the moment present. She always places the body at the centre of her concerns by continually seeking to create new scriptures through the dialogue of languages. Josiane has performed nearly 400 performances of various professional projects in Quebec, Canada, the United States, France, Luxembourg and Mexico. Nicolas Cantin Nicolas Cantin has long attended improvisation as a performance tool. His love of the game was essentially nourished by the contact of Mario Gonzales and Philippe Hottier. Trained in the work of clown and mask, Nicolas Cantin stands at the border of genres. A singular artist, he creates choreographic environments in which he probes the multiple dramatic possibilities of movement. His universe is bent between intimacy and savagery. Between 2009 and 2012, he made three shows, Big monkey, Nice way and Mygal (FTA 2012), which form a trilogy entitled Three romances. Artist in residence at L'L (Brussels), Montevideo (Marseille), Chapelle Scène Contemporain (Montréal) and l'Usine C (Montréal), he then developed the creations Cheese, Blumzy (FTA 2014) and Spoon (FTA 2017), In 2021, he created Catapult, a performance project in collaboration with Josiane Bernier. He also sometimes dances. He's moving for Frédérick Gravel in It's all fucked up, honey. (FTA 2010) and for a few others. He also flirts with the circus by cosing for the 7 fingers of the hand the staging SkateboardA solo for Patrick Léonard. He also regularly commits himself as an artistic advisor, to various creative projects, all of which have in common to navigate at the borders of genres. In parallel with his creative work, he has taught performance for more than thirty years, including at the Ecole Nationale de Cirque de Montréal, the Ecole Nationale de Théâtre du Canada, the Ecole Supérieure de Théâtre de l'UQAM, the Ecole Professionnel de Théâtre du Collège Lionel Groulx etc.
