About

Pilgrimage is a multidisciplinary medieval-sensuelo-fantastic work co-built by the Collectif les Trous Badours. Combining performance, audio recordings and movement, participants will be led to visit different components of medieval rites and cultures. The latter will be transported on this journey through an ephemeral installation that will take you to this distant time. Inspired by the liturgical office, mysteries, fabliaux, farces and soties, this project aims to explore medieval themes and reappropriate this universe in a queer and trans-yes vision. This project is an invitation to play with and be together. The body, both as an intimate, collective and deeply political experience, is central to our approach. Our works are called palimpsestes queers and saphics, hands stretched through the centuries, shared festive ghosts, ritual balms on the bodies of our unknown ancestors whose voices have not been recorded but whose echo is still perceptible. We are deeply touched by the idea of thinking and collectively paying homage to these anonymous people through the pilgrim invocation of our own bodies.
