About
Soundscape (bio)electronics is an installation soundscape created by Tania Bonardo-Pellerin, composed of documentary fragments of natural places. This bioelectronic device uses 4-track cassettes and cassette readers in parallel circuits, in which audio loops of varying lengths are stretched in space and diffused simultaneously. It is a carefully assembled ecosystem, the mechanism of which allows a phenomenon of artificialization of nature, giving shape to the memories of the territory. This sound ecosystem is fragile, sensitive to external elements and functions as a precarious habitat, especially in the presence of human beings. It is a work that requires a sustained conservation and maintenance effort on the part of the artist, who develops a relationship of care and benevolence towards his work.
