About
In a mirror game with the looker, the protagonist listens, observes and discovers how the different sound pieces affect his environment and vice versa. The fixed frame of the camera provides a discreet window on a interiority shared between the protagonist, the intimacy of the place she lives and the strangeness of the movements provoked. Mariant the sound and video art, the work creates a hybrid between reality and dream, movement and immobility, presence and dreams. This project is an invitation from the AVATAR Centre in audio and electronic art to create a visual work for the six sound pieces by Simon Elmaleh, Jocelyn Robert and Vincent Thériault. Synchronised with the majestic organ of the Palais Montcalm, the video work was screened for the first time on December 2, 2021 as part of the Full Game project.
