At night as a starting point. When the question asked is: What do we see first of the city at night? All will answer from the outset "light". The city light charms, the romantic light, the light attracts roaring insects, all species, and the human is no exception. But night light also has an impact. Cauquelin specifies his answer, it's not the light she sees, but this immense ringing of the urban sky. "In the distance, for the foreigner who disembarks: the pink-blue halo of light; the diffuse light, wide crown that stands above an urban concentration: it discolors the horizon and designates the city" (Cauquelin, A. (1977) The city at night). Triska Sicuranzo Gagné is interested in this lighting and studies the peculiarity of street lamps in the city of Quebec. She travels through the territory and questions the actors in the community to start the project. This informal mapping will take the form of an artist's book, bringing together photographs, poems, anecdotes, official documents, etc., to bring out the voids and the fullness of the capital.
