About
Myriam Lenfesty, Gabrielle Morin and Clara Vecchio are three lesbian artists who have each worked on projects reviving the memory of Lesbian bars in Quebec City. By choosing to unite around a theatre project, they quickly wondered about the potential of this common desire. Lesbian bars do not come up by magic, carried by a person's imagination alone: but what would happen if they found a way to channel the energy of their shared fantasies? Perhaps it would be enough for an old pub, some lesbian word displayed somewhere, and they would answer the call. Their approach is not limited to the artistic setting alone: they want her to feed on contact with lesbian people from all walks of life. In this way, they organize several evenings in bars in Quebec City, which feed both their text, their reflections and their need for community in the public space. The work of fiction that they elaborate is not an end in itself: it unfolds as a tentacular artistic approach, always moving, that evolves at the pace of their desires.
