RESPIRING UNDER THE WATER is an immersive theatrical and sound work that revolves around the quest for hope. The spectators are part of the set. Some are lying on beds, others are at their bedside or in space. The room listens with an audio headphone. The frame of the show oscillates between three real stories. One sees mainly the creator who learns to deal with the absence of a loved one who disappeared too early, without a word, abruptly. George, a young Syrian refugee whose family was sponsored by a group of theatre people of which Klervi is a member, is part. When he arrived in Montreal, he had been fighting for a recurrence of muscle cancer for two years. George's five. Let him survive. The work also leads us to plunge into the depths of an upsetting phenomenon observed in Sweden, the resignation syndrome. Upon the announcement of the refusal of their refugee status (and hence of expulsion), children "sorrow", suspended between two worlds waiting for a glimmer of hope that will bring them back to life.
