About

Marie-Ève receives a letter from a man. She discovers the portrait of an absolutely unheard of woman. Right now, she's obsessed. But who is this woman? Is it a version of herself that would have escaped her and that would have waited for this man's gaze to hatch? Or is it an imaginary being? A fantasy? A hidden version of the author himself? Inspired by the myth of Pygmalion and her Galatée statue, Marie-Ève tries to discover the mystery. It manufactures small containers of clay as many possible answers. Throughout her research, she sees the roles interchange – who is really Pygmalion, who is Galatée? Who, in the end, makes fantasies? This first residence, between writing, theatre and performance, questions the objectifying gaze of the artist (or the pretender) on his muse, while revealing the unsuspecting power of the muse and its own creative potential.
