About
Leo Azzaria deepens his world of sound installation in which an immense number of wires and electronic objects intertwine to shape an electronic creature that reacts to the presence of the public and makes him hear his mechanical gargollages. The work is made of a multitude of microphones and sensors that communicate with speakers or transducers to generate feedbacks, amplify mechanical noises and capture the sounds and gestures of spectators. The light emanates from lamps or lasers, also connected to the pulse of the beast. At the heart is a generative algorithm that changes the parameters of objects in real time, in an infinite texture renewal.

Biographies
Leo Azzaria Léo Azzaria is a multidisciplinary punk-technological sound artist based in Quebec City. His practice features recycled and hand-programmed electronic assemblages on which the artist improvises in sound contexts (with Musique pas d'Air, l'EMIQ), performatives (au Mois Multi, à la Listening Biennal), installatives (two works supported by Première Ovation), festive (with the Tek Crew as a witch of space) or unexplored (to follow). Leo works to dilute the boundaries between art forms through experimentation and collaboration. She is currently producing a film on improvised music in Quebec City, making live soundtracks for theatre (in collaboration with CADQ) or for films (Benninger (2023)), was published in a collection of textual partitions (A Year of Deep Listening (2025) and frequently collaborates with visual and/or poetic artists for installations and/or performances.
