About

The Woman-Lampadar is a performance and installation project aimed at questioning the sense of security provided by the light at night in women and people so considered. The Woman-Lampadar is part of the pursuit of a sculptural/performing corpus of urban women-mobility/urban vegetation that Charlotte Larouche performs in public space in order to generate new urban stories. The Woman-Lampadar is a hybrid between Larouche's body and a street structure carrying like a backpack. This project is part of a spirit of celebration, parodiing the chosification of women. If he clearly affirms their feminism, he does so by creating a certain malaise since everyone is invited to participate in the chosification which presents itself to him or her. Using an experimental approach to the territory, The Woman-Lampadar specifically seeks to question the role of light on the feeling of security and on the ways to occupy the night.
