About

Murmures was born of the curiosity that we live in when we walk late in the evening. From the one who pushes our gaze towards the illuminated windows of the apartments, and then, the imaginary is swarming and creating stories with these small, intertwined theatres. The project plunges into the heart of the intimate and aims to offer the total voyeur posture to spectators. From the outside, the public is invited to observe the windows of an apartment block in the hollow of the night. Through an alloy of sound theatre, movement, shadows and images, the collective wants to highlight solitude: theirs, that of the other. To show awe in these close-knit existences, which are similar, but do not touch each other. Thanks to the sound devices provided by their partner, the Compagnie Hôtel-Motel, this night experience becomes interactive and highly sensory. Each spectator is equipped with an audio system allowing him to choose and tune in real time the channel of the window that he wishes to listen to. By moving freely in space, the public composes its own narrative trajectory, making itself the active accomplice of these fragments of life brought to light. **In case of rain, the event will be postponed the following day (11 October 2026)**

Biographies

Arthur April A great dreamer with a singular nomadic journey, who holds a certificate in anthropology, he is driven by a deep desire to go to meet the other. Passionate about research and creation, Arthur aspires to forge links between theatre and other forms of art. It gives in strange, beautiful, multiple, and always aims to reach the heart, body and mind. At the Conservatory, he discovered a marked interest in physical play, writing and vocal work. The courses of gesture theatre and masked play prove to be founding in his relationship to the body, enriching his practice and awakening in him a new poetry. In the summer of 2025, Arthur took an internship with the European collective Ferus Animi, dedicated to the study of movement and body biomechanics. For the rest, Arthur wants to continue his collaborations. Look, find, tell. Build, one step at a time, an incarnate artistic language capable of travelling, surprising and moving. Maxime Méthot Maxime is inspired by everything around him. He believes that art is found in the banal as well as in the pompous and that the artist is an alchemist who helps to transmut our experiences in order to better understand the world around us. In nature, Maxime wants to touch everything. He wants to interpret a variety of characters, but also to develop his look as a director, touch with dramatic writing and deepen the movement in his practice. He believes that pleasure and truth are two important drivers that push him further and allow him to connect with the public and his colleagues. When he left school, Maxime played in The tales to ice the blood directed by Maxime Robin and The Witches of Saint-Leon, a reading by the company Porte Débarré. He also plays at the Old Post Office all summer in the room. Called. Fanny-Maude Roy From the age of nine, Fanny-Maude Roy explores the thousand nuances of the voice through dubbing, an initial playground that quickly awakens his fascination for incarnation. A graduate of the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Québec in May 2026, his desire for play evolved into a quest for raw truth, transforming his vulnerability into a powerful engine of creation. His artistic approach is closely interested in what is socially dehumanized: mental health, the complexity of interpersonal psychological patterns, and women's experiences. Active designer, she ensures the production and staging of the project Kick d Étienne Lepage in the summer of 2025. Persuaded that the theatre must come out of the traditional rooms to jostle the ordinary, Fanny-Maude favours immersive, wandering and in situ forms. Its objective is to move the relationship to the public to offer an active, physical and sensory experience, a living, marginal, generous and accessible art that makes public space vibrate. Jeanne Arbour Graduated from the Conservatoire d'art dramatique de Québec - scenography section, one could see the work of this artist from the Wendat community in productions such as; Great Fear and Misery of the Third Reich Berthold Brecth, An End by Sébastien David, Of our biceps will explode stars of graduates and How you like it Shakespeare, presented at the Conservatory Theatre during the 2025-2026 season. She is continuously working on the development of immersive and evocative visual universes, trying to combine artistic sense, versatility and technical precision with her approach. At the heart of his practice is the use of light as a language in its own right, the recovery of materials and the search for non-conventional materials for unexpected functions. She also loves the world of costume and loves to explore the use of textiles in her designs. In addition, she has a career in visual arts where her imagination is embedded in urban space through abstract and colourful murals. She wants to explore new ways to meet people, including the younger ones, to express herself on causes that are dear to her heart and to highlight a collective and individual sensitivity through the image.
